Invitation to CityU Convocation’s “Career Navigator”
Embracing the caring spirit to nurture the young generation, the CityU Convocation will organise a Forum entitled “Career Navigator” on 29 October 2016 (Saturday). The event aims to facilitate career goal setting and planning of young alumni and graduating students.
Alumni speakers from diverse backgrounds including Mr Desmond MARSHALL (馬穎釗), Mr Gregory SY (施宏毅) and Miss Pat WONG (黃詠珊) will share with you their compelling career stories, with topics covering essential tips on starting a new business, career aspiration vs entrepreneurship and the career journey to become an entrepreneur.
Mr Desmond MARSHALL Managing Director, Rouge International & Rouge Ventures
Mr Desmond Marshall is a CityU alumnus (MBA and BA English for Professional Communication). He has 20 years’ experience in creative high-end customer reactivation, motivation & loyalty programmes and business consulting for local and international banks and brands.
Mr Gregory SY Founder and Instructor, Sylinghim Limited Managing Director, Research Department, Black Marble Securities
Mr Gregory Sy is a CityU alumnus (MBA) who has built his reputation in finance and investment industry for over 17 years with $3 billion fund management experience. He is also a popular guest speaker in all genres of investment seminars, accumulating over 1,000 hours of teaching experience. In 2011, Mr Sy launched the first-ever investment related social platform in Hong Kong and has published 5 books since 2012. He is a Founder of 《我要做股神》fan page on Facebook.
Miss Pat WONG Artist, Flying Pig
Graduated from the School of Creative Media of CityU, Miss Pat Wong (also known as Flying Pig) has continued to sketch our city of Hong Kong after graduation focusing on drawings that are related to the community. She has organised various solo shows, and published her first book on drawings of old shops in 2016.
