Dear colleagues, students and alumni,

It gives me great pleasure to share with you that CityU has maintained its position as the 15th top university in Asia in the 2011 QS Asian University Rankings. This is a highly significant achievement given the general rise in the mean scores for the top 50 Asian universities. It is also testament to the hard work and sustained efforts by all of you over the past years. I am very grateful for your contributions and dedication.

CityU's future is in our hands. Let us cherish our achievements and work together to boost our reputation in the face of strengthening competition and rising expectations. Let us continue to improve the quality of our work, do our best to support our faculty and staff, and develop the talents and capabilities of our students.

I always welcome diverse views and differences of opinion, and I look forward to hearing how we can enhance our teaching and research activities and increase our support for faculty, staff and students in the pursuit of excellence.

I ask you once again to join me in thanking everyone who is helping CityU to play such a dynamic role in higher education in the region.

城大再次名列亞洲最佳大學第15位

各位同事、同學、校友：

城大連續第二年在QS亞洲大學排名榜中，名列第15位，成績令人欣慰。今年亞洲最佳50所大學整體平均得分均普遍上升，城大能在排名榜保持高位，成就實屬可嘉。這是全體城大同仁多年來努力不懈、對大學盡心付出的實證。在此本人衷心感謝各位的貢獻。

城大的未來，有賴我們的齊心努力。我們珍惜既有成就，共同提升城大聲譽，縱使競爭加劇、各方期望提高，仍須不斷改進，精益求精，全面拓展學生的潛能。

本人歡迎多元意見和不同觀點，推動大學發展，在各方提供的意見下，進一步提升城大的教學水平及科研成績，盡心竭力協助教職員和學生在工作或學業上取得卓越成就。由於各位的共同努力，城大能為亞洲高等教育發展作出貢獻並取得佳績，在此向大家再次致意。
