The 'Earth Hour 2014' is a worldwide event organized by the World Wild Fund (WWF) Hong Kong which aims to demonstrate our concerted effort to combat climate change. Lights will be switched off for one hour from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on 29 March 2014 (Saturday) at building facades and some non-essential lights in communal areas on campus.

We sincerely invite you and your families to participate in this meaningful event in the University, in the workplace and/or at home by switching off lights at the designated hour. Through our joint efforts to protect our planet in saving energy and reducing greenhouse gases, we can build a sustainable future. Aiming to "go beyond the hour" by committing to energy saving, you are encouraged to keep the habit of energy saving and low carbon living.
