Success in teaching and research

Dear colleagues, students and alumni,

The University is pleased to announce that we have risen from 5th to 4th place in the world’s top 50 universities under 50 years of age, according to the latest QS ranking for higher education institutions founded after 1964.

CityU has taken giant strides in recent years which reflects the dynamism and teamwork spirit on campus, said Professor Way Kuo, University President.

“We will continue to contribute to society by emphasising the integration of teaching and research and by promoting discovery and innovation,” said Professor Kuo.

The good news augurs well for the Year of the Horse and for the University’s 30th anniversary celebrations!

 各位同事、同學及校友：

香港城市大學（城大）在QS最新公佈的建校未滿50年（即1964年以後創校）全球50所最佳學府中攀升一位至第四，對此我們表示欣喜。

校長郭位教授表示，城大近年的發展取得飛躍進步，反映出城大的活力及團隊精神。

「我們將一如既往，注重教研合一，促進創新，以卓越教研成果貢獻社會，」郭校長說。

新的排名成績為馬年及城大三十周年慶典錦上添花！
