Progress Report of the AC3 Opening Ceremony Review Group
Dear Colleagues, Students and Alumni,
We would like to inform the campus community about the progress of the review on the AC3 Opening Ceremony held at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) on 6 May 2013.
The AC3 Opening Ceremony Review Group, established on 12 May 2013, is in the process of assessing the logistics, operation and security arrangements of the AC3 Opening Ceremony. The aim is to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to the President.
Over the past few weeks the Review Group has received and reviewed relevant documents prepared by different University offices. It has also received incident reports submitted by colleagues from the Campus Development and Facilities Office, from CityU’s security management staff, and from the company that was contracted to supply extra security personnel for the Opening Ceremony.
In addition, the Review Group has reviewed campus CCTV footage and images available from the internet, and it has held talks with 16 individuals, including colleagues who were involved in preparing the Opening Ceremony and the security management, as well as with students and media reporters.
We are pleased to announce that the evidence collection stage has been completed, and we are now in the deliberation stage. We have also started to prepare the report, which we expect to submit to the President by mid-July 2013.

學術樓（三）啟用典禮檢討小組進度報告
各位同事、同學及校友：
學術樓（三）啟用典禮檢討小組在此向大學成員匯報工作進展。
香港城市大學於2013年5月12日成立檢討小組，全面評估2013年5月6日舉行的學術樓（三）啟用典禮的籌劃、執行及保安工作，並向校長提交改善建議。
在過去數周，小組收到並已審閱大學不同部門提交的文件，我們亦收到校園發展及設施管理處同事、城大保安管理人員及為開幕禮提供額外保安服務的外判公司就事件所做的報告，小組也翻看了校園閉路電視相關片段及互聯網上的圖像，並約見了16位人士，包括協助籌劃開幕典禮及負責保安管理的同事、學生和記者。
小組現已完成取證工作，現正進行審議並著手草擬報告，我們預期將於7月中完成報告並提交給校長。
