In accordance with the Constitution and Rules of CityU Convocation, nominations were invited on 5 November 2015 for one place of Chairman, four places of Vice-Chairmen and ten places of other Members for the Fifth Standing Committee of the Convocation.

As the number of nominations is equal to the number of vacancies, in accordance with Section 35 of Rules of Meeting, no voting shall be necessary. The candidates so nominated shall then be deemed to be elected automatically.

In accordance with Section 25.2 of the Constitution, Miss Karmen Chan, Immediate Past Chairman of the Fourth Standing Committee, will be a member of the Fifth Standing Committee in her capacity as the Last Preceding Chairman of the Convocation.

The upcoming Annual General Meeting 2015 (AGM) will be held on Thursday, 17 December 2015 at 7:30pm at the Wei Hing Theatre, CityU.

Members are earnestly invited to register online in advance at http://convocation.cityu.edu.hk/agm2015/registration for the AGM to facilitate arrangements. Convocation members who have registered online will be served at the priority counter on the event day.

The Secretary of Convocation will send the agenda and related information to members via email and post them on website or or before Thursday, 10 December 2015.
