Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Election for the 2nd Standing Committee of Convocation on 26 November 2009

Further to the Election Notice issued to you on 13 November  2009, I would like to inform you of the agenda for the upcoming AGM to be held at 7:30 pm on 26 November 2009 at the Wei Hing Theatre, City University of Hong Kong:-

  1. To confirm the minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on 12 December 2008   

  2. Chairman’s presentation of “Report for AGM” on behalf of the First Standing Committee 　

  3. Items for discussion and decision – First Standing Committee’s recommendation of changing the Chinese translation (評議會) of the Convocation to “香港城市大學校友議會”

  4. Election for the Second Standing Committee

Members are earnestly invited to register online in advance for the AGM at http://convocation.cityu.edu.hk/registration to facilitate arrangements. Registered attendees will enjoy the privilege of priority line for voting in the election session.

Remarks:  A person is eligible to vote as an elector at an election only if the person within half an hour after the scheduled time for holding the General Meeting in which an election is to be held, presents himself to the Returning Officer for registration and verification of his Convocation membership status by furnishing to the Returning Officer a valid identification document.
